Updated House Rules and Forms!
The Board of Directors is pleased to announce that the updated House Rules were approved in last night’s Board Meeting. Hard copies shall be mailed shortly to all Owners and the rules shall take effect on September 1, 2021.
The Board’s focus on safety and security in the building prevailed. The AOAO legal counsel reviewed the proposed revision and forms to ensure compliance with Federal and State laws, and offered many recommendations, including the importance for a Resident Manager and staff to know who is occupying any Apartment in the building, and which vehicles are authorized to park on the premises.
All the forms mentioned in the newly-revised House Rules are required of all Owners, Owners’ Agents, Residents (Owners, Tenants, and Guests), as applicable, and are to be submitted to the Resident Manager’s office. These new forms shall supersede any similar previous forms. As noted in the House Rules, failure to follow the rules shall result in warnings and fines.
The new and newly-updated forms may be downloaded from the Guidelines & Forms link on the About page of this website.
The following forms must be completed and submitted by current residents by September 1, 2021:
Owner Information Form from all Owners
Resident Registration Form from ALL residents who occupy an apartment September 1, 2021 (includes Owner-Occupants, Tenants, and Guests when Owner is not present)
The Occupancy Information to Resident Manager Form is effective on September 1. All Owners or Owners’ Agents must complete a form for any persons who shall occupy their apartment at any time.
The two types of parking rental forms are effective immediately.
Special Board Meeting - July 6, 2021

The new Waikiki Lanais website is launched!
With the goal of being an open and transparent Board of Directors, the newly-elected Board of Directors immediately focused its attention to providing the ownership with an informative website once again. The Board hired Danny Luu upon the recommendation of an owner-occupant. The Board is also very grateful to another owner-occupant, Lana Brodziak, for taking the lovely pictures of our building as seen in the photo tour on the About page, and the Who We Are and Meeting Minutes pages’ headers. Mahalo nui loa, Lana!
The website is a work-in-progress and we will be adding more info and features when possible!
Wishing much aloha to RM Chris!
The Board was recently advised that Chris Jakubowski wanted to live again on the mainland so we extend a sincere mahalo to him for all he did for our AOAO as Resident Manager and wish him much aloha and happiness in his future. The RM’s responsibilities will be covered by a temporary Site Manager until a new Resident Manager is hired.
Resident Manager’s Vacation Schedule
Resident Manager Chris Jakubowski is taking the three weeks of vacation he has accrued since being hired in 2019, some of which he was not able to take last year due to the pandemic. The Board has hired a temporary Site Manager to cover the regular weekday hours, and who will also be on-call for evening and weekend emergencies. If needed, please use the same RM contact info to communicate with the Site Manager if he is not in the RM’s office. The Board and all our residents wish Chris a wonderful trip!

2020 Annual Meeting of Association Owners is postponed
In light of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we have been advised by our attorney to postpone the Annual Meeting until a later date at which it can be safely conducted.
Once such a date is determined, owners will be provided a formal notice in writing.
Per our bylaws and HRS 514b, the proxies must be delivered to Touchstone “no later than 4:30 pm on the second business day prior to the date of the meeting to which it pertains.”. The AOAO would use the new date of the meeting for the purposes of proxy deadlines.
If you have already turned in your proxy, it will be considered valid for the rescheduled meeting unless you revoke your proxy in writing to Touchstone Properties.
Thank you and stay safe and healthy.
Vladimir Gurovich
President, AOAO Waikiki Lanais
